Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Petersfield seeks an experienced Commercial Van Technician to join a family-run fleet workshop. You will service and repair transit-style vans up to 7.5 tonnes, focusing on first-time fixes and quality workmanship within a small, supportive team.

The role offers a competitive £38,000–£42,000 salary, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, optional overtime on Saturdays, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial vehicle experience and strong knowledge of van repairs.
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience on vans or similar commercial vehicles is essential.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing transit-style vans up to 7.5 tonnes for a fleet of commercial vehicles.
• Carrying out routine maintenance such as brakes and suspension.
• Performing more complex repairs including engine out work.
• Focusing on first-time fixes to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Using specialist diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
• Maintaining high safety and workmanship standards throughout repairs and servicing.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
