Job summary

Compass Community Schools is seeking HLTA staff to support children with complex needs across classrooms and therapy-based sessions. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, manage resources, accompany trips, and help create a calm, safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in the classroom
• Working with children 1:1 or in small groups
• Managing classroom resources
• Taking children on trips and visits
• Having lunch with children who struggle socially
• Managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe
• Playing board games
• Celebrating success
• Part of therapy sessions or reflecting on difficult periods
