Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Project Officer to support a major transformation programme within the homelessness and supported housing service in Sheffield. The role covers coordination, performance monitoring and stakeholder engagement to ensure change is delivered effectively and benefits are realised.

You will work within the Commissioning and Partnerships Team, coordinating project plans, monitoring progress and preparing reports for managers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects, programmes or service improvement activity.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse information and use evidence for improvement.
• Experience of partnership working and securing commitment to shared objectives.
• Experience in housing, homelessness, or public services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of service transformation and improvement programmes.
• Coordinate project plans, milestones, actions and governance arrangements.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and support resolution of barriers to delivery.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
• Prepare reports, presentations and briefings for managers.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops and engagement activity.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external partners to support collaborative working.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and service improvements.
