Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions is seeking a senior programme lead to head the ISSC2 transition for DEFRA and the Home Office in a high-pace, multi-partner environment. The role focuses on delivering a cross-government transformation with end-to-end governance and seamless transition management.

The successful candidate will drive complex exit activities, unify workstreams, manage interdependencies and maintain a consolidated view of the programme.

Qualifications

• Experience leading supplier management or transition on large government programmes.
• Ability to define exit and transition scope, deliverables, timescales and resources.
• Experience integrating outputs into BAU to enable change benefits.
• Proven ability to collaborate with supplier partners and senior stakeholders.
• Outstanding communicator capable of influencing and challenging in sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive a complex programme of contract exit and transition with multiple priorities.
• Provide insight, leadership and challenge at all levels to achieve outcomes.
• Unify competing workstreams, manage interdependencies and end-to-end programme view.
• Identify and manage stakeholder relationships across internal and external parties.
• Apply risk and issue management with mitigations, controls and escalation as needed.
• Drive governance, transition planning and execution across programme phases to manage change.
• Provide support, coaching and development emphasis for the team.
