Veolia in Birstall, Leeds is recruiting a Waste Operative to operate plant equipment for handling, sorting and transferring waste, and to keep the yard tidy. You will marshal vehicles and support the Operations Manager in daily site operations. 42.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri 07:00–16:00, £13.58 per hour plus Veolia benefits.

The role offers a varied environment with training and development opportunities and a commitment to a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Competenze

• Essential: good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions and procedures.
• Desirable: Loading Shovel licence and/or 360 Grab licence.
• Desirable: mobile plant experience.
• Desirable: reversing assistant experience.

Mansioni

• Operate the necessary plant equipment involved in the handling, sorting and transferring of waste.
• Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy.
• Marshalling vehicle movement around the site at busy times.
• Assisting the Operations Manager in day to day running of site operations.
