Job summary

Veolia at Whitemoss Landfill Site in Skelmersdale is seeking an Operational Labourer. You will operate plant equipment, load and unload waste, and safely dispose of hazardous materials in a compliant manner.

You will also direct vehicles to tipping locations, maintain housekeeping around the site, and support weighbridge cover as needed. A proactive approach to health & safety and hands-on licence-based skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Similar operational/manual handling experience.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Forklift and telehandler licences are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment, loading/unloading and safely disposing of hazardous waste.
• Direct vehicles to tipping location and organise daily tipping operations.
• Housekeeping duties including greasing/cleaning machines, litter picking and area cleanliness.
• General labouring around site including refuelling pumps and fence repairs.
• Provide cover on weighbridge when required.
