Veolia ES Shropshire Limited is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Assistant to support the Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility, transforming residual waste into energy and ensuring safe, reliable plant operation.

The role suits a safety-conscious, hands-on professional with good communication and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A full driving licence is essential, and prior experience with mobile plant is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain the Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility.
• Manage waste reception and ash residue areas.
• Coordinate vehicle movements and operate mobile plant.
• Operate plant refuge cranes in accordance with procedures.
• Regularly clean plant and equipment to maintain health and safety standards.
• Carry out plant inspections and share readings with the operations team.
• Collaborate with the operations shift team and follow direction from supervisors.

The role is 40 hours per week on a staggered day rota.What we're looking for;Someone with strong technical ability and a practical, hands-on approach to supporting plant operations and maintenance.A safety-conscious team player who can work cooperatively with colleagues and contribute to a well-run facility.A confident problem-solver who can respond sensibly to day-to-day operational issues and changing priorities.A self-motivated and organised person who can work with minimal supervision and manage several tasks effectively.Good communication and computer skills, with the ability to share information clearly and complete work accurately.A full driving licence is essential.
