Van Mossel Automotive Group UK Ltd in Poole is seeking a Transaction Manager to guide the Suzuki and Geely dealership's sales team and drive profitability. You will coach staff, manage the sales process, and oversee finance/insurance product sales in line with FCA regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a proven track record in automotive sales leadership, along with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Transaction Manager, Business Manager, Senior Sales Executive or Sales Manager in the automotive industry.
• Proven track record of delivering strong sales and profitability results.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of finance and insurance products and FCA regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate the sales team while remaining a key member of it.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with the sales team to identify opportunities and training needs.
• Coach and develop team members to maximise sales opportunities and performance.
• Assist the Sales Manager in achieving volume, margin and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Maximise profitability of vehicle sales using tools within company guidelines and law.
• Monitor lead management and diary activity for accurate follow-up of enquiries.
• Oversee sale of vehicles, finance and insurance products in line with FCA requirements.
• Provide guidance to Sales Specialists through the sales process.
• Assist in closing vehicle sales and obtaining valuations for part exchanges.
• Track and complete monthly reporting on finance and insurance performance.
• Ensure transactions are documented, funded and completed.
• Upskill the sales team through finance and insurance training.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transaction Manager to join our team at our Suzuki and Geely dealership in Poole.

As a Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the sales process through regular coaching, face-to-face customer interaction, and leadership of the sales team. You will ensure every customer receives an exceptional sales experience while helping to maximise profitability, finance penetration, and enquiry conversion across the department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Helping to direct and motivate the sales team whilst remaining a key member of it.
• Conducting daily, weekly and monthly one-to-one meetings with the sales team to identify business opportunities and training requirements.
• Coaching and developing team members to maximise sales opportunities and performance.
• Assisting the Sales Manager in ensuring volume, margin and customer satisfaction objectives are consistently achieved.
• Maximising the profitability of every vehicle sale using available tools within company guidelines and current legislation.
• Monitoring lead management and diary activity to ensure accurate recording and effective follow-up of customer enquiries.
• Overseeing the sale of vehicles, finance and insurance products in line with FCA requirements.
• Providing advice and guidance to Sales Specialists throughout the sales process.
• Assisting in closing vehicle sales and obtaining valuations for part exchanges.
• Tracking and completing monthly reporting on finance and insurance performance.
• Ensuring all transactions are accurately documented, funded and completed.
• Upskilling the sales team through finance and insurance training.

What you will need to be a Transaction Manager at Suzuki and Geely, Poole:

• Previous experience in a Transaction Manager, Business Manager, Senior Sales Executive or Sales Manager role within the automotive industry.
• A proven track record of delivering strong sales and profitability results.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of finance and insurance products and FCA regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• A full UK driving licence.

Hours of work will be: Monday - Friday 08:30-18:00 (set day off in the week), Saturday 08:30 - 17:00, NO SUNDAYS
