Job summary

Main dealership in South East London is seeking an experienced Transaction Manager to join the busy sales operation. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to structure deals, support the sales team and maximise performance across new and used vehicle sales, finance, renewals and add-ons.

The role is hands-on, offering strong earning potential and a clear path to contribute to customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. FMC compliant and customer-centric focus required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Transaction Manager, Business Manager or Sales Controller in a main dealership.
• Strong finance and F&I knowledge.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Sales Manager to achieve departmental targets.
• Support Sales Executives throughout the sales process.
• Stack and structure deals to maximise sales and profitability.
• Carry out accurate part-exchange valuations.
• Assist with closing deals and follow-up on leads.
• Support performance across new and used vehicle sales and finance opportunities.

Permanent | Full Time

Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Sunday/Bank Holiday: 10:00am – 4:00pm | 1 in 3 rota
Day off in lieu for Saturday working

Our client, a successful main dealership in South East London, is looking to recruit an experienced Transaction Manager to join their busy sales operation.

This is a very hands-on role, working closely with the Sales Manager to support the sales team and maximise performance across new and used vehicle sales, finance, renewals, add-ons, lead management and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Sales Executives, structuring deals and ensuring customers receive an excellent purchasing experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sales Manager to achieve departmental targets.
• Support Sales Executives throughout the sales process.
• Stack and structure deals to maximise sales and profitability.
• Carry out accurate part-exchange valuations.
• Second-face customers and assist with closing deals.
• Support performance across new and used vehicle sales.
• Maximise finance, renewals and additional product opportunities.
• Monitor and manage sales leads effectively.
• Ensure compliance with FCA and internal company procedures.
• Assist with compliance audits and maintain high standards.
• Help drive customer satisfaction and retention.
• Provide coaching and support to Sales Executives where required.

Your Background & Skills

• Previous experience as a Transaction Manager, Business Manager or Sales Controller within a main dealership.
• Strong understanding of deal stacking and sales processes.
• Confident valuing part exchanges and structuring deals.
• Strong finance and F&I knowledge.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Commercially focused with a strong understanding of profitability.
• Able to work closely with a Sales Manager and wider sales team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
