Job summary

Capita is hiring for a two-year fixed-term role at HMS Raleigh, Torpoint, with backshift hours 4pm to 10pm four weeks out of sixteen. The role involves providing high-quality training support, simulator setup, and instructor assistance to navy training courses.

Candidates should have good IT skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and be eligible for UK SC level security clearance. Navy experience is beneficial but not required. Full training will be provided and on-site facilities are available.

• UK Security Clearance at SC level is required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Support instructors with simulator training as part of a team.
• Set up the simulator training for each session.
• Brief students on tasks to be completed.
• Alter simulator courses (speed/depth etc) as needed.
• Operate the simulators during training sessions.

Help get better trained people to the front line faster

Your role will be to deliver high quality training support (demonstration/role play/simulator control/equipment support and maintenance) to specific courses assigned to use the appropriate equipment.

This role would be ideally suited to someone who has a interest in gaming (not essential)

The role will be based onsite at HMS Raleigh, Torpoint - there will be a need to work 4pm to 10pm (backshift) 4 weeks out of 16 each term - backshift Is Monday to Thursday.

This role is 2 year fixed-term Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week - 2 year Fixed-term contract

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you'll be doing:

• Working as part of a team supporting instructors with simulator training
• Setting up the simulator training
• Briefing the students on what needs done
• Altering any simulator courses (increase/decrease speed/depth etc)
• Operating the simulators

What we're looking for:

• Good IT Skills - MS Office with the ability to understand and navigate new technologies
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Any experience within Royal Navy would be beneficial.
• Must be able to be cleared to UK SC Level
• Adaptable to change
• Ability to 4pm to 10pm 3 or 4 weeks every term (16 weeks)
