Job summary

Tina Lacey Recruitment Ltd has a Training Assessor role based at HMP Huntercombe, Nuffield, Oxfordshire, 7.30am–4.30pm, Mon–Thu. Some travel to other sites with expenses paid. Permanent, 4 days a week with benefits including birthday off after year one and loyalty days after five years.

The role delivers Level 1–2 vocational training and assessment, following awarding body standards, with a focus on upskilling from related sectors and delivering high-quality learner support.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA, and manage a caseload of at least 30 learners per quarter.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality vocational competency-based curriculum up to Level 2 using awarding body standards and criteria.
• Maintain learner records accurately in line with policies, GDPR and contractual requirements.
• Manage a full caseload of learners per contract, communicating effectively with learners and prison staff.
• Monitor learner attendance and progress through regular assessments and reviews.
• Submit completed portfolios for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.
