Job summary

Tina Lacey Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Training Assessor to deliver Level 2 vocational qualifications, using awarding body standards. You will support learners at HMP Huntercombe, with occasional travel to other sites.

The role is permanent, four days a week, with travel expenses paid and a benefits package including birthday time off and loyalty days. Applicants should hold an assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA) and be able to manage a caseload of learners while maintaining accurate

• Assessor qualification or equivalent required.
• Caseload management experience preferred.
• Good IT skills and flexibility to work at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality Level 2 vocational curriculum using awarding body standards.
• Maintain accurate learner records in line with GDPR and contract requirements.
• Manage a full caseload of learners and ensure timely starts and progress reviews.
• Monitor attendance and progress, submitting portfolios for IQA within 5 days of completion.

Training Assessor

25k - 27k depending on qualifications and experience

Do you have your assessor qualification or equivalent and would like to support learners with Level 1 and 2 qualifications ? My client will help you upskill if you come from other sectors including health and social care/customer service/manufacturing etc ?

Based at HMP Huntercombe Nuffield Oxfordshire 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday (No Friday working) however there will be some travel to other sites on occasions to deliver short courses over there, all travel expenses paid for

Are you a qualified Assessor ?

Your role as Training Assessor will be to deliver a high-quality vocational competency based curriculum up to a Level 2 utilising awarding body standards/criteria, fully understanding the standards for the awards being delivered and assessed.

Ensure that all learner records are accurate and maintained in line with policies and procedures, GDPR and contractual requirements.

Ensuring a full caseload of learners (in line with contract) is maintained at all times with the generating of starts through excellent communication skills and relationship building with learners and prison staff. You will help overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners needs. Ensure all learners complete timely in line with our clients delivery model and programme specification. Your role will include monitoring learner attendance and progress through regular learner assessment and reviews. Ensuring all completed portfolios are submitted for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.

To apply for the role of Training Assessor we need you to hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA, and experience of managing a caseload of at least 30 learners (per quarter). A good level of IT skills. Flexibility to work at multiple locations. Full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle, which is insured for business use.
