Job summary

Tina Lacey Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a training provider based at HMP Huntercombe Nuffield Oxfordshire to deliver assessor-led vocational programmes. The role is permanent, four days a week, 7:30am–4:30pm, with occasional travel to other sites and all travel expenses paid.

You will deliver a Level 1–2 curriculum to learners using awarding body standards, maintain learner records, support prison learners and staff, and manage a caseload of around 30 learners per quarter.

Qualifications

• Recognised Assessor award required (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
• Experience managing a caseload of learners (approx. 30 per quarter).
• Full, current driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1–2 vocational curriculum to learners using awarding body standards.
• Maintain accurate learner records in line with GDPR and contractual requirements.
• Support learners and prison staff, overcoming barriers to learning.
• Generate starts and monitor learner attendance and progress; complete portfolios for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.

Do you have your assessor qualification or equivalent and would like to support learners with Level 1 and 2 qualifications? My client will help you upskill if you come from other sectors including health and social care/customer service/manufacturing etc?

Based at HMP Huntercombe Nuffield Oxfordshire 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday (No Friday working) however there will be some travel to other sites on occasions to deliver short courses over there, all travel expenses paid for

Are you a qualified Assessor?

Your role as Training Assessor will be to deliver a high-quality vocational competency based curriculum up to a Level 2 utilising awarding body standards/criteria, fully understanding the standards for the awards being delivered and assessed.

• NVQ Level 1 Certificate in Food & Beverage Service
• NVQ Level 2 Diploma Food & Beverage Service
• NVQ Level 1 Certificate in Food Preparation and Cookery
• NVQ Level 2 Food Production and Cookery
• NVQ Level 2 Award in Barista Skills
• Food Safety Level 2 Award
• Certificate in Customer Service

Ensure that all learner records are accurate and maintained in line with policies and procedures, GDPR and contractual requirements.

Ensuring a full caseload of learners (in line with contract) is maintained at all times with the generating of starts through excellent communication skills and relationship building with learners and prison staff. You will help overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners needs. Ensure all learners complete timely in line with our clients delivery model and programme specification. Your role will include monitoring learner attendance and progress through regular learner assessment and reviews. Ensuring all completed portfolios are submitted for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.

To apply for the role of Training Assessor we need you to hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA, and experience of managing a caseload of at least 30 learners (per quarter). A good level of IT skills. Flexibility to work at multiple locations. Full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle, which is insured for business use.
