Job summary

Training Assessor role based at HMP Huntercombe, Oxfordshire, with travel to other sites as needed. The package offers £25k-£27k and a permanent 4-day week, plus strong benefits and support.

You will deliver Level 2 vocational assessment using awarding body standards, maintain learner records, manage a caseload, and support progression. Requirements include a recognised Assessor award and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
• Experience managing a caseload of learners (at least 30 per quarter).
• Full, current driving licence with vehicle insured for business use.
• Good level of IT skills and ability to maintain learner records.
• Wlexibility to work at multiple locations and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a Level 2 vocational competency based curriculum using awarding body standards.
• Maintain accurate learner records in line with policies and GDPR.
• Manage a full caseload of learners and monitor attendance/progress.
• Ensure portfolios are submitted for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.
• Travel to different sites to deliver short courses; travel expenses paid.

Training Assessor

£25k - £27k depending on qualifications and experience

Do you have your assessor qualification or equivalent and would like to support learners with Level 1 and 2 qualifications? My client will help you upskill if you come from other sectors including health and social care/customer service/manufacturing etc?

Based at HMP Huntercombe Nuffield Oxfordshire 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday (No Friday working) however there will be some travel to other sites on occasions to deliver short courses over there, all travel expenses paid for.

Are you a qualified Assessor?

Your role as Training Assessor will be to deliver a high-quality vocational competency based curriculum up to a Level 2 utilising awarding body standards/criteria, fully understanding the standards for the awards being delivered and assessed.

Ensure that all learner records are accurate and maintained in line with policies and procedures, GDPR and contractual requirements.

Ensuring a full caseload of learners (in line with contract) is maintained at all times with the generating of starts through excellent communication skills and relationship building with learners and prison staff. You will help overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners needs. Ensure all learners complete timely in line with our clients delivery model and programme specification. Your role will include monitoring learner attendance and progress through regular learner assessment and reviews. Ensuring all completed portfolios are submitted for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.
