About the role
This role is split between training and events. The training portion of the work will be supporting our wide range of in-person and online events, such as webinars, member events, in-person and online conferences, and specialised courses. For the educational services part of the role, you will be administering our training and digital learning systems and supporting the team as they develop, design, and deliver an ever-growing range of educational products and services. Day to day, the role will cover a wide range of administrative and customer service functions. Events coordination, online/hybrid events, training development, and project coordination are all potential learning opportunities within this role.

Reporting to the Educational Services Manager, you will be a key player in the Educational Services and Events teams. You will support the delivery of a wide range of events and training for our members and learners. The successful candidate will learn all facets of training administration and event delivery. Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Support the Administration Training and Digital Learning services:
- Work closely with our Educational Services Coordinator and existing Training and Events Administrator, reporting to the Educational Services Manager.
- Answer general customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Administer our training service by coordinating training dates and maintaining the training schedule and training calendar, and managing registrations, assessments, and certifications. Providing excellent customer service.
- Administer our eLearning programmes – from sign-ups to certifications. This includes processing digital and paper assessments before and after training.
- Support the team with the day-to-day administration of our Learning Management System, ensuring our learners receive an excellent educational experience.
- Lead the administration of a Membership special interest group. Including meeting scheduling, minutes taking, and circulation, updates of actions and activities, and circulation of newsletters.
- Work cross-departmentally to support the promotion and uptake of our training courses.
Coordination Events Calendar and Communications:
- Working together with the Events Officer and the existing Training and Events Administrator on the administration of the Events & Conferences programme, reporting regularly to the Events Officer on this work.
- Answer general customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Lead the administration of in-person events, including preparing materials, badges, and packs for events, and supporting the delivery of the event on the day.
- Support on post-event administration, including certificates, evaluation forms, event write-ups, and processing membership forms.
- Support the Membership and Educational Services Team in the running of the RSPH webinar and
- Events series. This includes in-person requirements in London at various points throughout the year.
- Support the running of a two-week course twice a year, including being physically present in London and taking the lead if the Events Officer is not there.
- Support the team in the running of the Health and Wellbeing Awards: administration of the assessment process, organisation and running of the event and post-event review
Provide Administration and Membership:
- Training will be provided on a variety of systems, including our eLearning authoring platform, LMS, assessment portals, and CRM systems.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good digital literacy and confident using Microsoft Office packages and Adobe.
- Motivation and ability to independently manage a varied, fast-paced workload, prioritising and meeting deadlines, with excellent attention to detail.
- High standard of communication, including written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Some experience in providing customer service.
- Ability to work in a team setting and provide support to colleagues.
- Some experience in coordinating and supporting in-person, online and/hybrid events.
- Some experience using event/communication management platforms, such as Survey Monkey,
- Eventbrite, Zoom, MS Teams, Dot digital, and others.
- Experience organising/hosting webinars/events for large audiences.
- Experience in administering a Learning Management System.
- An interest in public health and wellbeing.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in public health, social sciences, event management, or another relevant topic.
