Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Screening Technician to oversee the day-to-day operation of AAA clinics across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, with many clinics in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.

You will perform ultrasound scans to national standards, reassure participants, and explain the implications of AAA screening while ensuring results are correctly processed.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound scanning as part of NAAASP.
• Ability to reassure men attending clinics and explain the screening test.
• Work to national standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound scanning as part of the National Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme (NAAASP).
• Reassure men attending community AAA screening and explain the test.
• Inform participants of results and ensure outcomes are processed correctly.
