Job summary

Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Health Screener to support the AAA screening programme across Northamptonshire. You will perform ultrasound scans, explain procedures to patients, and maintain accurate data entry in line with national protocols.

The role requires a full UK driving license and the ability to travel between clinics. Band 3 with potential progression to band 4 after certification, and involvement in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Educated to at least five GCSEs or equivalent.
• Working towards or holding NAAASP Level 3 Health Screener Diploma.
• Able to liaise with professionals and work in a clinical environment.
• Experience with data entry and using computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage screening clinics and explain procedures to patients.
• Record data accurately on the national screening database.
• Undertake ultrasound scanning within national protocols.
• Maintain infection control standards and equipment readiness.
• Transport screening equipment between units as required.
