Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to support the Thames Valley AAA screening programme. This role involves ultrasound screening in community settings across Oxfordshire, with a focus on patient communication and safeguarding high standards of care.

Training is provided; driving is required as there is frequent travel. Sponsorship for eligible roles may be possible, and the Trust promotes a safe, respectful hiring environment.

Qualifications

• Good general education (5 GCSE) required.
• NVQ 3 in relevant subject or equivalent qualification.
• Specialist training: NAAASP approved or vascular scientist/sonographer training.

Responsibilities

• Organise and carry out ultrasound scans according to current guidelines and programme protocol.
• Ensure scan results are despatched promptly to the screening office.
• Communicate screening outcomes to men and provide appropriate information and support.
• Deal with medical and patient queries, prioritising work as needed.
• Travel frequently to cover all areas with a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
