Job summary

Dynamite Recruitment is assisting with the recruitment of a Trainee Solar Installer in Horsham. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, a clear path to qualification, and full support while you develop in the renewables sector.

You will start with local work, gain experience on roofs, and progress with the team. Company van provided after training and your own transport is required to access the Horsham office.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and a way to get to the office; once trained you will receive a company van and fuel card.
• Must be able to carry solar panels and work on roofs.
• Hands-on or trades background encouraged; practical hobbies or fixing/building interests are valued.

Responsibilities

• Help install solar PV panels on roofs and mountings.
• Assist with carrying, positioning and securing panels and mounting systems.
• Install and route cabling neatly and safely.
• Assist with DC side connections and related equipment.
• Travel locally within the Horsham area and occasionally further as required.

Trainee Solar Installer

Horsham

£28K to £40K depending on experience levels (Experienced Roofers or Solar Installers are also welcomed to apply, and will be who qualify for the top end. The lower end will be more realistic for completely fresh trainees).

Required: Drivers license and a way to get to the office- Until trained, at which time you will receive a company van (2022 plate or newer), and a fuel card.

The ideal Trainee Solar Installer will

• Be confident using basic tools and enjoy practical work.
• You’ll need to be able to carry solar panels.
• Have a practical, hands on hobby or an interest where fixing or building is involved (Please ensure this is specified on your CV).
• Or you could have some experience in a hands on or trades environment this could be anything from window fitting to another role where you ve used tools.
• Most importantly, have the right attitude and enthusiasm to learn and build a career in renewables.

The Trainee Solar PV Installer role:

• 70% of the time you will work within a 30 minute radius of the Horsham office, however occasionally, travel up to 45 minutes away will be required. Overall the role is very local.
