Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking a Trainee Solar Installer in the South East London area. You will support seasoned installers on residential and commercial sites, helping with mounting systems, racking and PV panels. Training will be provided to develop practical Solar PV installation skills.

Ideal candidates have construction site experience, are physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors at height. The role offers full-time hours around 35 per week with progression opportunities in

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on construction sites is essential.
• CSCS card is essential.
• No previous Solar PV experience required; full training provided.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy or electrical installation.
• Comfortable working outdoors, at height and on rooftops.
• Physically fit and able to lift materials and equipment.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced Solar PV installers and electricians with installations across residential and commercial sites.
• Assist with the installation of mounting systems, racking and solar panels.
• Prepare, load and transport tools, equipment and materials to site.
• Operate hand and power tools following appropriate training.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas.
• Follow all company and site health and safety procedures.
• Carry out basic measurements and calculations under supervision.
• Work as part of a team while developing practical Solar PV installation skills through training.

Trainee Solar Installer

Location: South East London & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 (35 hours per week), with flexibility depending on site location

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Trainee Solar Installer to join their installation team.
