Job summary

Tozer Group in Wrotham is seeking a Solar PV Trainer / Installation Supervisor to split time between delivering solar PV training (50%) and supervising installation compliance (50%).

This hands-on role requires a fully qualified electrician, proven PV installation experience, and the ability to train groups. You will travel between the office, training centre, and sites, ensuring projects meet industry standards while developing the next generation of installers.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Proven experience in Solar PV installations
• Confident delivering training and presenting to groups
• Full UK work authorisation

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Solar PV training courses (theory & practical) in a dedicated training centre
• Prepare lesson plans and course materials aligned with awarding body standards
• Assess learners through practical and written evaluations
• Maintain accurate learner records and performance data
• Support open days, course promotion, and learner engagement initiatives
• Fully qualified electrician for installation supervision and compliance checks
• Supervise Solar PV installations and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
• Mentor engineers or apprentices when needed

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solar PV professional to take on a dual‑role position combining training delivery (50%) and installation compliance supervision (50%). This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about renewable energy, enjoys developing others, and takes pride in maintaining high technical and quality standards across installations.

You will play a key role in training the next generation of installers, while also ensuring projects are delivered in line with industry regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Course Delivery (50%)

• Deliver engaging Solar PV training courses (theory & practical) in a dedicated training centre
• Prepare lesson plans and course materials aligned with awarding body standards
• Assess learners through practical and written evaluations
• Maintain accurate learner records and performance data
• Support open days, course promotion, and learner engagement initiatives

Installation Supervision & Compliance (50%)

Essential

• Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Proven experience in Solar PV installations
• Confident delivering training and presenting to groups
• Full UK work authorisation

Desirable

• Experience in inspections, audits, or quality assurance
• Teaching or training qualification (AET, A1 Assessor) or willingness to obtain
• Experience mentoring or coaching engineers or apprentices
