SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is recruiting a Trainee Field Technician across Southern and Central Scotland. The 3-year development programme combines technical training, college study for a Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering, and hands-on work on distribution systems, SCADA, and network protection.

You'll begin under supervision, progress to authorised roles, and travel to sites while building practical competence in a safety-focused environment.

Formación

• Interest in engineering and electricity networks; safety-focused.
• Willingness to travel to sites and training locations.
• Able to drive in the UK by December 2026 and pursue training.

Responsabilidades

• Install, commission and maintain network apparatus.
• Diagnose defects and support safe restoration of equipment.
• Ensure site tasks meet safety and quality standards.
• Support programmes and client interactions during site work.
• Maintain records and participate in training activities.
