Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking Trainee SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND across Peterlee, Sunderland and surrounding areas. This is paid, hands-on experience, with training provided and no mandatory qualification required.

You will work 1:1 or with small groups, help pupils access lessons, support emotional regulation and behaviour, and collaborate with teachers and SEN staff. Driving is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• No formal teaching assistant qualification required.
• Open to candidates from childcare, care, sports, youth work, healthcare, psychology, support work, volunteering.
• Full training and support provided.

Pay: £98-£120 per day, depending on experience

Drivers Advantageous

Drivers with access to their own car are particularly welcome, as this can provide access to a wider range of schools across Peterlee, Sunderland and surrounding areas.

Driving is advantageous, not essential.
