Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Trainee SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Peterlee, Sunderland and surrounding areas. This paid training role offers school-hours, term-time work with opportunities to gain hands-on SEND experience.

No TA qualification is required. We welcome applicants from childcare, youth work, healthcare, psychology or volunteering backgrounds. DBS checks and safeguarding training are provided or supported.

Hours: Monday-Friday, school hours
Pay: £98-£120 per day, depending on experience

You Don't Need a Teaching Assistant Qualification

Or you may simply be looking for a career change and want to explore working in education.

We'll provide the training and support to help you develop.

Drivers Advantageous

Drivers with access to their own car are particularly welcome, as this can provide access to a wider range of schools across Peterlee, Sunderland and surrounding areas.

Driving is advantageous, not essential.
