Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking Trainee Teaching Assistants to work in Peterlee and surrounding areas, helping pupils access learning and develop social skills. No teaching qualification required; attitude, patience, and enthusiasm are valued as you begin a career in education.

Role is full-time, term-time hours, with pay of £98–£115 per day depending on experience. Training, DBS checks, and ongoing support are provided as you gain school-based experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, youth work, sports coaching, care or support roles.
• Volunteering, mentoring or customer-facing experience is helpful.
• No previous school experience is essential.
• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

Protocol Education are looking for Trainee Teaching Assistants to join schools across Peterlee and the surrounding areas.

You don't need to be a qualified Teaching Assistant. We are interested in people with the right attitude, patience and enthusiasm who want to build a career supporting children.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will receive support while gaining valuable experience in a school environment.

Your role may include:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom
• Working with individuals and small groups
• Helping pupils access their learning
