Job summary

Protocol Education are seeking Trainee SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools across Peterlee. You don't need to be a qualified Teaching Assistant to start, and you will gain paid experience supporting pupils with additional needs while receiving training from experienced education professionals.

Role involves 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access lessons, encouraging communication, and promoting positive behaviour. Driving is advantageous but not essential.

Job Type: Full Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: As soon as available
Hours: Monday–Friday, school hours
Pay: £98–£120 per day, depending on experience
