Job summary

DNA Payments is launching a DNA Sales Academy for a Trainee Sales Representative. You will generate new business in a field-based role across SME postcode areas, supported by structured training and coaching.

No prior sales experience is required, and you will graduate to Business Development Consultant after six months if you meet targets. Hybrid/remote work with a clear progression to higher roles; excellent training and a generous earnings structure including a 50k OTE potential in the first

• Manage CRM and pipeline to achieve conversions.
• Aim for 1 self-generated sale per day (20 per month).
• Support customers through to live and transacting.

Sales Academy - DNA Payments

Reporting into: Head of Sales

Working hours: 37.5

Working location: Remote, on agreed patch

Employment type: Full-time employed role

As a Trainee Sales Representative, you will join the DNA Sales Academy and generate new business by visiting SME businesses within an assigned postcode area. This is a field-based, entry-level sales role combining structured training, coaching and live field activity.

Previous sales experience is not required. You must be self-motivated, resilient, reliable and comfortable approaching business owners face to face. Candidates who successfully complete the six-month academy and meet the required standards will graduate and be promoted to Business Development Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

During the academy, you will be responsible for:

• Complete all product, compliance, systems and sales training.
• Manage and develop your assigned territory on a daily basis.
• B2B cold calling (75+ door knocks daily once fully active).
• Target SME businesses with annual card turnover of £50,000 - £7.5m.
• Identify merchant needs and promote appropriate DNA Payments, EPOS and Zash solutions.
• Efficiently manage your CRM and pipeline of opportunities to achieve expected conversions.
• Work towards 1 self-generated sales a day (20 per average working month)
• Target clients with monthly £50+ net revenue to achieve monthly targets.
• Successfully complete customer applications and support customers through to live and transacting.
• Work with internal teams to process, deliver and set up products, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
• Apply coaching and feedback and demonstrate continued improvement.
• Maintain the required standards for attendance, punctuality, activity, administration and professional conduct.
• Be present on daily huddle calls both in the morning and in the evening.

Graduation and progression

Graduation at month six is based on performance, activity, product knowledge, conduct, CRM accuracy, attendance and coachability. Graduation is not automatic.

Successful graduates will be promoted to Business Development Consultant, with further progression to Business Development Manager and Senior Business Development Manager available based on performance.

Basic Salary: Starting at £25,000 (£5,000 uplift after passing probation)

Car Allowance: £5000 P/A plus mileage paid at HMRC statutory advisory rates

Incentive: Generous, uncapped scheme based on a revenue share model. Realistic first year OTE of £50,000.
