Job summary

EQUANS are recruiting for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to be based in Coleshill, Birmingham. This is a permanent full-time role with a 40-hour week, offering a Degree Apprenticeship with day release and university fees paid, plus a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will support the QS team on live and pre-construction projects, measure works, assist with final accounts, and undertake commercial administration while studying. A strong foundation in maths and construction is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English required.
• Construction-based BTEC or NVQ / A levels required.
• HND/ HNC level in a relevant construction course is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist QS with commercial administration on live projects or pre-construction work.
• Measure all works accurately.
• Assist in final accounts preparation.
• Perform day-to-day administrative duties.
• Prepare documentation for valuation, procurement or commercial administration.
• Liaise with buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities.
• Support day-to-day cost control, monitoring and reporting.
