Job summary

Equans is hiring a Mobile Mechanical Engineer for the Midlands region on a permanent, full-time basis. You will carry out electrical, plumbing, boiler and heating tasks across multiple sites, with real-time PDA logging and strict safety documentation.

Qualifications

  • A recognised industry qualification will be required and prior experience is essential.
  • Appropriate Plumbing Qualifications are essential.
  • Gas Safe Qualifications desirable.
  • C&G Level 3 Plumbing is preferred.
  • Must have a full UK drivers’ licence.
  • DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical works in a commercial setting including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems and domestic hot and cold-water systems.
  • Cover multiple sites within the Midlands contract (West Midlands incl. Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent).
  • Ensure all PPM is carried out as per maintenance spec and logged in real time.
  • Complete paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works; pass to contract administrator.
  • Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
  • Share on-call responsibility as part of the rota.
