Job summary

Equans is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial aspects on major projects in the UK. The role is based at our Hatfield head office with weekly travel to sites across London and the South East.

It is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. You will oversee all commercial elements, safeguard contractual obligations, manage risk and report on financial performance to the regional leadership.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or appropriate alternative.
  • Experience within a senior surveying position reporting to a commercial manager or director.
  • Demonstrable experience in JCT / NEC / PPC contracts.
  • Wide experience in a relevant Main Contracting Commercial role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, numerical skills and negotiation/influencing skills.
  • Good IT skills – MS Office, Excel, Project, Word etc.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all commercial elements of large single projects or a suite of projects; drive profitability and commercial performance.
  • Provide support to regional Board in identifying and managing risk with effective mitigation.
  • Maintain relationships with external parties and promote cross‑department collaboration.
