A local government authority is seeking a committed individual to join their Procurement team. This permanent position involves supporting a professional procurement service within the Council. Candidates will help ensure compliance with relevant strategies while gaining the skills needed for a professional procurement qualification. Hybrid work options are available, enabling flexibility throughout the working week.
We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our Procurement team within the Chief Executives Department. You will support the delivery of a professional procurement service delivering goods, works and services in accordance with legislation, regulations and Council Contract Standing Orders, driving value for money and supporting delivery of Council priorities and objectives. The post-holder will be required to study towards a recognised professional procurement qualification.
This role is designed to develop the skills and experience required to become a qualified procurement professional within local government.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
