Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Trainee Operative to join the Traffic Management team at the Brentwood Depot. You will work alongside direct and sub-contract labour to hit targets and deadlines, and you will operate traffic lights and plant once trained and certificated.

Ideal candidates will have highways or reactive maintenance experience, a strong can-do attitude, and enjoy outdoor work. NHSS 12D M1/2 and NHSS 12 A/B certifications are required or pursued with training support.

Qualifications

• Previous highways or reactive maintenance experience.
• Ability to work outdoors and use initiative.
• NHSS 12D M1/2 and NHSS 12 A/B certifications are required.

About the role

We have a superb opportunity for a Trainee Operative to join our Traffic Management business, based out of our Brentwood Depot.

Responsible for working with both the direct labour and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time. These include the operation of Traffic Lights and plant, where trained and certificated with the addition of various other aspects of Traffic Management.
