Job summary

Lime Tree Nurseries in North Anston is seeking an experienced Level 3 Trainee Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in daily operations and help lead a caring, child-led curriculum. You will recruit, coach and develop staff, ensure safeguarding and EYFS compliance, and promote a positive environment for children and families while progressing toward Nursery Manager roles.

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare.
• Experience working within an early years setting.
• Experience of supporting or leading a team.
• Knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Positive, caring and professional approach.
• Genuine passion for Early Years and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with day-to-day management and smooth running of the nursery.
• Lead, support and motivate the staff team, including recruitment, induction, supervision and development.
• Support high standards of safeguarding, care and education in line with the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Work alongside the team to deliver an ambitious, flexible and child-led curriculum within engaging environments.
• Use your knowledge of child development to support effective observation and assessment.
• Ensure staffing levels, ratios, policies and procedures are maintained.
• Support the management of concerns, complaints and incidents, escalating where appropriate.
• Promote a positive and professional environment for children, families and staff.
