Job summary

Warwickshire College Group is offering a trainee teacher post in the English & Maths department within its in-house teacher development programme. This permanent full-time role involves teaching a rising load of hours over three years while completing teaching qualifications, with support from an assigned mentor and a teaching buddy, and dedicated non-contact time for CPD.

• Degree level qualification is required for the post.
• Minimum Level 3 in English or a related subject is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths teaching with a three-year progression of hours (15, 18, 21 per week).
• Complete the Award in Education and Training in Year 1, then the Diploma in Teaching in Years 2 and 3.
• Develop teaching materials, course paperwork, planning, assessments and records.
• Work with an assigned mentor from the Advanced Practitioner team.
• Collaborate with a teaching buddy from the Literacy and Numeracy team.
• Engage in cross-college peer support and reflection activities.
