Job summary

Warwickshire College Group is recruiting a trainee English lecturer to its English and Maths department. The role combines teaching with a three-year qualification route and offers paid, work-based training with mentoring from an advanced practitioner.

You will teach a rising timetable (15 hours in year 1, increasing to 21 hours by year 3) while completing the Award in Education and Training and Diploma in Teaching, plus course planning and admin duties.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification required.
• Minimum Level 3 English or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality maths teaching with rising hours (15→21 per week).
• Complete Award in Education and Training in year 1.
• Complete Diploma in Teaching in years 2–3.
• Develop teaching materials, plans, assessments and records.
• Work with mentors and teaching buddy.
• Engage in cross-college peer support and CPD activities.
• Carry out administrative tasks and participate in quality processes.
