Job summary

Warwickshire College Group invites graduates to join their English & Maths department as a Trainee English Lecturer. The position is full time and permanent at Moreton Morrell College, with a three-year progression and in-house teaching development.

You will train while you teach, completing the Award in Education and Training in year 1 and the Diploma in Teaching in years 2 and 3, while mentoring, planning, and assessing learners.

Qualifications

• IT literacy and admin skills to support teaching.
• Willingness to undertake teaching qualification and training.
• Minimum Level 3 in English or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Teaching English as part of the English & Maths department.
• Complete the Award in Education and Training in Year 1 and Diploma in Teaching in Years 2–3.
• Develop teaching materials, plan courses, and maintain records.
• Work with mentors and peers to reflect and improve practice.
• Utilise non-contact time for CPD and team teaching activities.
• Undertake administrative tasks under line manager guidance.
• Engage with quality processes, lesson observations, and safeguarding.
