Job summary
Warwickshire College Group in Rugby invites applications for a Trainee Maths Lecturer. You will train while teaching, earning while you learn in a three-year teacher development pathway across our Maths and English department.
You will undertake a Level 3 Maths qualification, work with mentors, and gain hands-on classroom experience while developing professional skills in assessment, planning, and safeguarding within our vibrant campus community.
Qualifications
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Maths.
- A degree in any subject.
- Willingness to undertake training to gain a Teacher Training Qualification.
- Willingness to undertake continuing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Maths teaching as part of a structured 3-year progression model.
- Complete the Award in Education and Training in Year 1 and the Diploma in Teaching in Years 2–3.
- Prepare and produce teaching materials and course planning paperwork.
- Mentor with Advanced Practitioner and Literacy & Numeracy teams; participate in peer support.
- Utilise non-contact time for CPD and team teaching activities.
- Undertake administration tasks and engage with quality systems and safeguarding.
