Job summary

Specsavers Rustington is seeking a proactive Trainee Lab Technician to join a close-knit team. You will use computer-controlled equipment with accuracy to maximise customer satisfaction in a busy opticians environment.

You will help produce orders, interpret prescriptions, and assemble glasses, while developing hands-on skills through comprehensive training and benefits offered by Specsavers.

Responsibilities

Specsavers Rustington is a customer-focused opticians providing professional eye-care and hearing services to the local community. The store offers eye examinations, sight tests, contact lens consultations and fittings, as well as the dispensing and fitting of glasses and sunglasses. The team also provides hearing tests and hearing-care services, delivering professional clinical care alongside friendly, personalised customer service to meet each customer’s individual needs.

What does the role involve?

Day-to-day, you’ll help us out by producing customer orders from scratch, interpreting optical prescriptions and drawings, correcting faults and re-assembling of glasses, carrying out testing and adjustments, prepare and maintain materials and equipment. You’ll also make sure that you are producing the highest quality assured product.
