Sunbelt Rentals Limited. is seeking a Trainee HGV Driver in the Brentwood area to support timely collections and deliveries from customer sites while meeting customer expectations.

You will work towards gaining knowledge to operate commercial vehicles, ensure safety and loading security, and engage with customers on site. A clear focus on safety and efficient routes is essential for this role.

Formación

• Minimum of driving license category B – with no more than 6 points.
• Previous driving experience.
• Proactive approach to training opportunities and the ability to act on feedback to make improvements.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience (desirable).
• Knowledge of IT systems (desirable).

Responsabilidades

• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of goods as part of training.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy and loads are secure before journeys.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and working time directive at all times.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented Trainee HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
What will you be doing?

• Working towards gaining specialised knowledge and skills to operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
