Job summary

Citizens Advice Croydon is seeking a dedicated adviser/assessor to work in a hybrid setup. You will assess clients in depth, focus on crisis support, and carry out initial debt assessments to maximise income and promote financial resilience.

The role involves multi-channel client support and working with limited supervision in a dynamic environment. A trainee path is available with training provided to achieve competence for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in advising or assessing clients' situations.
• Experience in crisis support and debt assessments is desirable.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

We are ideally looking for someone who has already qualified as an Assessor or Adviser, or has equivalent advice experience outside of the Citizens Advice service. However, for the right candidate, we will consider appointing at Trainee level and provide the necessary training to achieve competence.

In this role you will assess each client's situation in depth, and will be particularly focused on supporting clients in crisis, providing initial debt assessments and maximising income as well as identifying the most appropriate strategies to support financial resilience. You will support clients using a multi channel approach and be confident in managing with minimal supervision in a fast paced working environment.
