Job summary

Aztec Group in St Helier, Jersey, is seeking a Trainee Fund Accountant to support day‑to‑day fund accounting under a Financial Reporting Manager. You will assist with bookkeeping, investor reports, tax returns, and bank reconciliations.

The role provides training toward a professional qualification, uses eFront and Excel, and comes with a discretionary bonus, hybrid working, generous holidays, and private medical insurance.

Qualifications

• The candidate should be willing to study towards a relevant professional qualification (supported by the Aztec Group).
• Sound technical financial services knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping for funds, management companies and related structures.
• Assist with accounting tasks, including preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad hoc investor requests.
• Assist with routine audit queries.
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation.
• Maintain records on eFront and Excel working papers for bookkeeping.
