Job summary

Aztec Financial Services (Luxembourg) S.A. is hiring a Fund Accountant to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager in the UK.

The role focuses on bookkeeping for funds and management companies, preparation of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and tax returns, using Yardi, eFront and Excel. A relevant accounting degree and ACCA/ACA study are preferred, with 2–4 years of experience in Real Assets.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
• Currently studying ACCA or ACA and ideally part-qualified
• Between 2 - 4 years relevant experience, exposure to Real Assets industry and knowledge of Propco is advantageous
• An understanding and exposure to Lux GAAP and IFRS is beneficial
• Computer literacy skills are essential
• Exposure to regulatory reporting is advantageous (BCL, CSSF reporting)

Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping of funds, management companies and fund structures
• Assist with accounting matters, including preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports and statutory financial statements
• Assist with completion of routine audit queries
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation
• Maintain records on Yardi, eFront and Excel working paper schedules
• Assist in preparing and reconciling periodic direct and indirect tax returns

About the role

Reports to Financial Reporting Manager.

The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the bookkeeping of funds, management companies and associated fund structures
• Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc requests
• Assist with the completion of routine audit queries
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide or source supporting documentation evidencing transactions
• Maintain accurate records on Yardi, eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping
• Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns
