Job summary

Aztec Group in Guernsey is seeking a diligent finance professional to support routine bookkeeping of fund structures under the supervision of the Financial Reporting Manager. You will work with eFront and Excel, supporting investor reports, statutory statements, and tax reconciliations.

The role encourages progression toward a professional qualification, backed by the Aztec Academy, with a discretionary bonus scheme and flexible hybrid working. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the bookkeeping of funds, management companies and associated fund structures.
• Assist with accounting matters, including preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad hoc investor requests.
• Assist with completion of routine audit queries.
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions.
• Maintain records on eFront and Excel working paper schedules for bookkeeping.
• Assist in preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns.

About the role:

Reports to Financial Reporting Manager

The purpose of this position is to assist with the routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with all aspects of the bookkeeping of funds, management companies and associated fund structures
• Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad hoc investor requests
• Assist with the completion of routine audit queries
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide or source supporting documentation evidencing transactions
• Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping
• Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns

• The candidate should have a desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification (supported by the Aztec Group)
