Job summary
SP Energy Networks is seeking Trainee Field Technicians across Southern and Central Scotland. The three-year development programme combines on-site training with college study to obtain a Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering at Forth Valley College.
You will learn through structured supervision and mentoring while gaining hands-on experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of network equipment.
Qualifications
- As part of the programme you will learn through a three-year development plan with structured training and college study.
- You will gain hands-on experience and be supported by mentors throughout the programme.
- Full UK driving licence is required by December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain network apparatus on time and to budget.
- Diagnose defects and support safe restoration of equipment after faults.
- Ensure site work complies with safety management systems.
- Deliver work programmes to defined quality, time, and cost targets.
- Provide high-standard service during site activities and with customers.
