Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Trainee European Planner in the UK, with Wakefield or Corby base. You will learn European road freight, customs documentation, and multi‑modal logistics under supervision, developing into a skilled planner with on‑the‑job training.

The role emphasizes hands‑on experience, motivation and a proactive approach, with full training and career progression within a global business.

Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above), or equivalent.
Motivated and ambitious, with a strong interest in logistics and freight forwarding.
Willing to learn and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and coordination of European road freight and short sea import/export shipments
Assist with the preparation and management of customs and shipping documentation
Monitor shipments, track progress, and provide updates to stakeholders
Liaise with carriers, customers, and internal teams under supervision
Gain exposure to deep sea, air freight, and multi-modal logistics operations
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in training to develop knowledge of customs compliance and international trade
