Job summary

NewCold Coöperatief U.A. is seeking enthusiastic trainees in Wakefield (or Corby) to support European road freight, import/export shipments, and customs documentation. You will learn on the job with hands-on experience, gaining exposure to multiple freight modes while building a career in logistics.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English and Maths (C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and develop in logistics and freight forwarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, ambitious, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of European road freight and short sea shipments.
• Assist with preparation and management of customs and shipping documentation.
• Monitor shipments, track progress, and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Liaise with carriers, customers, and internal teams under supervision.
• Gain exposure to deep sea, air freight, and multi-modal logistics operations.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in training to develop knowledge of customs compliance and international trade.
