NewCold Coöperatief U.A. is seeking enthusiastic trainees in Wakefield (or Corby) to support European road freight, import/export shipments, and customs documentation. You will learn on the job with hands-on experience, gaining exposure to multiple freight modes while building a career in logistics.

Full training will be provided; GCSE English and Maths are required. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK are important for this role, which offers a clear path to

Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday- Friday 08:00-16:30)

Salary: £24,000.000 - £30,000.00 per annum

This role offers hands-on experience in European road freight, short sea shipping, and customs documentation. You will have the opportunity to develop into a skilled planner with broad logistics expertise, supported by comprehensive on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of European road freight and short sea import/export shipments
• Assist with the preparation and management of customs and shipping documentation

• Liaise with carriers, customers, and internal teams under supervision
• Gain exposure to deep sea, air freight, and multi-modal logistics operations

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel within the UK
• Occasional overseas travel may be required as part of this role (to be discussed further at interview)
• GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above), or equivalent
• Motivated and ambitious, with a strong interest in logistics and freight forwarding
• Well organised, with good attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to learn and take on responsibility
• Interest in international trade, transport, or logistics.
