Job summary
Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).
No prior experience is required and full training will be provided, including learning to dispense prescriptions, label medicines, and advise patients on their health and wellness.
Qualifications
- No previous experience required and full training will be provided.
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines and endorsing prescriptions.
- Work with healthcare professionals to assist in delivering pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
- Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats to promote adherence.
