Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions and help patients with medicines while you complete the NVQ2 dispenser training.

No prior experience required; full training will be provided, and you’ll build relationships with customers, learn SOPs, and progress toward becoming a Pharmacy Technician or taking on more store responsibilities.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training will be provided.
• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2.
• Current and valid UK right to work.

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions safely and legally.
• Work with the pharmacist and healthcare professionals in-store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines.
• Follow SOPs for safe dispensing of prescriptions.
• Support patients with repeats and adherence.
• Develop knowledge of new store systems.
