Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, learn to dispense prescriptions, and help provide safe, effective healthcare services while training for the NVQ2.

Full training is provided, and the role focuses on patient interactions, accuracy, and following SOPs to ensure safe dispensing and excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Ability to communicate with customers and colleagues clearly.
• Willingness to work as part of a pharmacy team in-store.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Support patients with repeats and manage their medicines to promote adherence.
